Shadow People

Shadow people are human-like shapes that some have witnessed while in a sleep like state.

I had the occurrence once in college, while sleeping in my bunk opened my eyes to see exactly what the internet describes.

This has been attributed to hypnagogia before, where it is called wakeful sleep. This is the threshold of sleep and consciousness. I was at that point when my roommate walked in the room. Strange part is he was at the door while this was all happening, and when he turned on the light, I awakened to him entering. He said, "Man you okay? You look like you have seen a ghost or something."

Whether this was just my mind playing hallucinogenic tricks on me or something was actually watching me, nobody can really tell. It was pretty freaky though.

Magic and Rituals

The most basic of the known curious world is that of magic. We hear of magic often in movies and writings, but it usually is referred to as practical or something a child would enjoy hearing about. They fail to mention as often the darker side of what is magic.

Spells and incantations are an interesting idea, but where do they stem from? Such practices as Witchcraft, Shamanism, Druidism, and even Hoodoo have been around for centuries. These studies of the occult bring forth much to think about. Conjuring the dead, human sacrifices and hexing are but some of the negative connotations these beliefs carry. There are also good aspects of these that hint towards healing and connecting to the spirits or planet in a healthy way.

A simple explanation would be that these practices were man's way of coping with the unknown, and all the secrets the world has.

It would be ignorant to claim that we as a race know everything the universe has to offer, and therefore I look over such thoughts and keep an open mind.

The world has so much untapped knowledge, whether it be of that we cannot see or worldwide beliefs, that is ours for the taking. Desire to learn of these things and find out who you really are.

A look at the less known

The unknown is sometimes frightening, but to some it can be exciting.

There is much in our reality that many overlook, and there is much outside our plane of existence that has impact on our lives, whether you would like to admit it or not.

For those with an adventurous spirit, even the darkest of circumstances can be overcome and learned from.

This is for you. You who desires to find the strange and often confusing and try to comprehend it.

I am one of you, and in times of curiosity strive to search for that which cannot be explained or that which baffles us from ages past. The ancient writings of humanities first ancestors, or the disappearance of a people all together.

Ideas will pass through these pages and will probably not be answered, but that is part of being human. Question everything.
